On behalf of our client TEC Bobov Dol, a coal-fired power plant which generates electricity in Bulgaria, situated in the lands of the village Golemo Selo near the town of Bobov Dol, Kyustendil Province. The plant is located near the Bobov Dol coal mines and has an installed capacity of 630 MW. We are looking for an ambitious and proactive candidate who is ready to gain new experience in the following position: Electrical Engineer – “MVC” Laboratory, “Electrical” Workshop.

Location: Bobov Dol, Bulgaria.

Relocation is required, and the employment contract is permanent.

We are looking for an ambitious and proactive candidate who is ready to gain new experience in the following position: Electrical Engineer – “MVC” Laboratory, “Electrical” Workshop.
Responsibilities

• Plans, organises, controls and coordinates operation and repair activities for installations serviced by the “MVC” laboratory, and coordinates interaction with other units and workshops in “TPP Bobov Dol” AD.

• Checks relay protections, automation, signalling and interlocks according to an approved schedule.
• Prepares schemes, operating cards, diagrams and relay protection (RP) settings related to normal operation.
• Performs rapid assessment of the impact of deviations of key parameters/indicators on economical and safe operation.
• Provides competent intervention in emergency situations.
• Assesses quality of performed repairs.
• Reviews/assesses design and other documentation used in the “MVC” laboratory.
• In cases of non‑operation or incorrect operation of MVC, performs additional checks according to a case‑specific programme.
• Monitors correct commissioning of all relay protections and emergency/warning signalling; initiates timely removal of defects.
• When MVC must be taken out of service for re‑setting or repair, ensures request submission/approval and provision of adequate backup protection.
• Accepts performed work on MVC from specialised commissioning laboratories.
• Ensures correct labelling of all MVC devices in accordance with valid schemes and operating instructions for duty personnel.
• Monitors sealing of relay protections and reports detected violations.
• Periodically inspects MVC panels and control desks.
• Ensures availability of principle and wiring diagrams for all relay protection and automation devices.
• Monitors correct operation of recording instruments.
• Ensures that all MVC panels used for switching are equipped with keys, tables, etc. for all operating modes.
• Organises and controls technical documentation for preventive maintenance, tests and settings.
• Organises and is responsible for verification of measuring and control instruments at objects covered by the “MVC” laboratory.

Requirements

• Higher or secondary technical education.

• Electrical engineering; power plants and networks; relay protection and automation of power systems.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the speciality.
• General knowledge of the main technical disciplines.
