On behalf of our client TEC Bobov Dol, a coal-fired power plant which generates electricity in Bulgaria, situated in the lands of the village Golemo Selo near the town of Bobov Dol, Kyustendil Province. The plant is located near the Bobov Dol coal mines and has an installed capacity of 630 MW. We are looking for an ambitious and proactive candidate who is ready to gain new experience in the following position: Thermal Power Engineer (Energy Engineer) – “Turbine” Workshop.
Location: Bobov Dol, Bulgaria.
Relocation is required, and the employment contract is permanent.
• Organises, manages and controls the overall operational activity of the “Turbine” workshop.
• Ensures reliable, trouble‑free operation of steam turbines, reactive heaters and feed equipment; ensures sufficient manoeuvrability of turbine‑generators within the defined range with optimal technical‑economic indicators.
• Ensures readiness of auxiliary equipment to fulfil dispatch tasks.
• Monitors compliance with standards for thermal energy consumption for own needs.
• Participates in test commissions and investigations of incidents/accidents in the workshop.
• Performs rounds and inspections of equipment.
• Controls execution of operational instructions by subordinate personnel.
• In certain situations, performs the duties of Shift Supervisor.
• Completes shift staffing and prepares work and rest schedules.
• Conducts briefings for operational personnel.
• Ensures and controls compliance with applicable rules, norms and instructions on occupational safety and health.
• Participates in eliminating emergencies; acts according to the company emergency plan.
• Makes proposals to the workshop head for incentives or sanctions.
• During leave/absence may be replaced by the Shift Supervisor; may replace the Workshop Head and Shift Supervisor.
• Performs other functions assigned by the Head of the “Turbine” workshop.
• Higher education.
• Heat engineering; thermal power engineering; electrical networks and power plants; electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of work in a TPP.
• General knowledge of main technical disciplines.
• In‑depth knowledge of: fundamentals of heat engineering; electrical machines and apparatus; electrical engineering; I&C and automation; TPP technological scheme.
• Detailed knowledge of: design/operating principles/technical characteristics of steam turbines and auxiliary systems; key process parameters; technological and operating instructions; basic operation of I&C and control/automation schemes.
