On behalf of our client, a coal-fired power plant which generates electricity in Bulgaria, situated in the lands of the village Golemo Selo near the town of Bobov Dol, Kyustendil Province. The plant is located near the Bobov Dol coal mines and has an installed capacity of 630 MW. We are looking for an ambitious and proactive candidate who is ready to gain new experience in the following position: I&C (Measurement, Control & Automation) Engineer – “I&C” Workshop.
Location: Bobov Dol, Bulgaria.
Relocation is required, and the employment contract is permanent.
• Manages, organises and controls the overall operational activity of the “I&C” workshop through shift supervisors and team/brigade leaders.
• Ensures reliable, trouble‑free operation of process control and automation means, protections and interlocks.
• Ensures operation of process protections.
• Monitors operation of automated systems.
• Monitors maintenance of limiting devices of high‑risk equipment.
• Ensures measuring instruments for high‑risk installations are metrologically verified.
• Performs rounds and inspections of equipment.
• Higher or secondary technical education.
• Electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years in a TPP.
• General knowledge of main technical disciplines.
• In‑depth knowledge of: fundamentals of heat engineering; electrical machines and apparatus; electrical engineering; automation and telemechanics; microprocessor control systems.
• Detailed knowledge of: design/operating principles/technical characteristics of equipment in the workshop and the plant (generators, electric motors, open switchgear ORU 110 and 220 kV, unit transformers); technological scheme of production in the TPP; repair technologies and correct operation; rules for taking installations into/out of repair; parameters and processes of generation, transformation and transmission of electrical energy; laws and means for regulation of electrical quantities; relay protection requirements and equipment; operating principles and efficiency of thermal control and automation schemes; technology and organisation of operational and maintenance activities.
